The single entrance to the fort slopes upwards and is channeled through a 10ft wall. When under siege, archers line the wall whilst boiling water/oil is poured through grooves in the wall.
This incredibly impressive fort has two contrasting designs. The older, original design combined Hindu, Buddhist and Islamic motifs into Red Sandstone. Later additions to the fort used white marble imported from across India.
